ALPCO Diagnostics - VPN and Remote Desktop

ALPCO Diagnostics, of Salem, NH recently came to Technology Seed with the need to give a recently acquired company the ability for their employees to work from their home offices.

What Is a VPN? A Virtual Private Network enable  users to connect to the corporate network securely & enjoy full access to the network's files, applications and printers.

Using ALPCO's current, high speed, DSL line and Windows 2000 Server, we setup a secure VPN tunnel from the remote office to the local network. Next, we setup a PC on the local network (LAN) dedicated to the remote users. The staff remote control that PC to access the local network real time with no delay. The remote users have full access to the LAN - they even have the option of printing to their home printers, or the printers in the local office.

The entire system was setup without any additional hardware of software. Using their existing Windows Server, and their existing DSL line, Technology Seed helped ALPCO make better use of their business tools.
